Anil Kumar Yadav

Born in 1984 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, Anil Kumar Yadav is a contemporary Indian artist whose work is deeply inspired by the spiritual and architectural essence of Varanasi - one of the oldest living cities in the world. His artistic practice emerges from years of walking through the narrow lanes of Banaras, observing temple rituals, listening to the resonance of bells, and absorbing the quiet sanctity of life along the ghats.
 

Anil’s paintings are characterised by monumental walls, ancient temples, hanging bells, and intricately carved doors - recurring visual elements that symbolise devotion, time, and collective memory.
